Editorial policy
Last updated 5 October 2026
This site takes advertising money. That creates an obvious pressure on what it says. This page sets out, in detail, how we keep the two apart — and what we will not do no matter what it costs in commission.
Who writes this site
Editorial responsibility for vectaris.online rests with Anthony Adams, acting for DILA A ROBOTA s.r.o., Vosmíkových 930/12, Libeň, 180 00 Praha 8, Czech Republic. Every article carries a named byline, a publication date and a last-reviewed date. There are no anonymous posts and no pen names. If a piece is written by someone else, their name goes on it.
No part of this site is generated and published without a human reading it first. Research tools may be used in drafting; a named editor is accountable for every published sentence either way.
How we establish a fact
- Primary source first. What a product includes is taken from the manufacturer’s own published plan and specification pages, not from a review, a press release or another affiliate site.
- Test results come from the laboratories that ran the test — AV-TEST and AV-Comparatives publish their methodology and their raw results, and we link to the round we are describing rather than citing a number with no provenance.
- We say which product was tested. If the lab tested a different edition from the one on the page, we say so instead of quietly letting the score transfer.
- We date everything, because a specification is only true on a date.
- We hedge what we cannot verify and attribute it. “Gen Digital states that…” is not padding; it is the difference between a fact and a claim.
- We never invent a number. If we cannot source a statistic or a specification, it does not appear. A missing figure is better than a confident wrong one.
What we refuse to do
- Fake testimonials. No invented customer stories, no “reader-submitted experience” we wrote ourselves, no stock photo with a first name under it. If we ever publish a real one it will be identifiable and verifiable.
- Invented ratings. No star scores, no “9.4/10”, no league table that we did not produce from a stated method. A number with no methodology behind it is decoration pretending to be evidence.
- Artificial urgency. No countdown timers, no “only 3 licences left”, no “offer ends tonight” unless the advertiser has published that end date and we link to it.
- Guaranteed outcomes. No security product makes anyone safe. We will not write that one does, and we will not use language that implies it.
- Impersonation. We do not present this site as a news organisation, a government body, a testing laboratory or a brand’s own site. The publisher is named in the footer of every page.
- Hidden advertising. Every commercial link is labelled as a partner link where you can see it, before you click, not in small print at the bottom.
- Scare copy. We will not describe a threat as more common or more severe than the evidence supports in order to move a sale.
How the site is funded
vectaris.online is funded entirely by affiliate commission. When a reader follows a partner link and buys, the advertiser or its affiliate network pays DILA A ROBOTA s.r.o. a commission. The reader pays the advertiser’s normal price; the commission comes out of the advertiser’s margin.
We take no payment for a favourable mention, we do not sell placement in a ranking, and no advertiser pays us to remove criticism. There is no sponsored-content format on this site: either a page is funded by affiliate links and says so at the top, or it carries no commercial links at all. Full detail is in the advertising and affiliate disclosure.
Advertiser independence
No advertiser sees an article before publication. No advertiser has approval over wording, headlines, comparisons or conclusions. Advertisers are not given the opportunity to remove a limitation we have identified.
The practical test of that is whether critical material survives on a page that earns commission. On this site it does: our main article corrects three claims that favoured the product, states plainly that the plan covers one device and has no VPN, warns about renewal pricing, and names a free alternative that a careful reader might prefer. If that costs us commission, that is the cost of being worth reading.
Corrections
We will get things wrong. When we do:
- Write to info@vectaris.online with the page, the sentence and, if you have it, a source. Reports from anyone are welcome, including from the advertiser.
- We acknowledge within five working days.
- If the point is correct we fix it promptly and update the last reviewed date.
- Substantive corrections are disclosed on the page, not hidden. A factual claim that changes the sense of a recommendation gets a visible correction note. The three corrections on our main article are shown that way, under their own heading.
- Typographical fixes and link repairs are made silently.
- If we conclude the report is mistaken, we say so and explain why.
Reviewing what is already published
Product pages describe a moving target. We re-check the pages on this site against the advertiser’s published information periodically and after any significant change we become aware of, and we update the last reviewed date when we do. Where our description and the advertiser’s own information diverge, the advertiser’s information prevails — and we say so on the page itself.
Privacy as an editorial matter
We do not measure which headline converts better, because measuring it would mean tracking you. The site stores nothing on your device and makes no third-party requests. You can check that in your browser in under a minute.
Images
Every illustration on this site is an original SVG diagram drawn for the article it appears in. We use no stock photography, no product screenshots and no third-party imagery, both because it would be a trademark and copyright problem on an advertising-funded page and because a diagram that explains a mechanism is worth more than a photograph of a laptop. Each diagram carries real alternative text and a caption.
